Investment Highlights

• Product: Leaf provides a full-service insurance solution for SMEs. Automatically collecting detailed information about the customer, providing the most precise risk assessment in the market and using it to find the best insurance products on the market. Leaf can thereby offer a precise and real-time insurance coverage at the best price.
• Traction: Launched first version of their platform in January with a digital onboarding flow, AI-driven risk assessment and a customer interface. In less than two months, they have onboareded 40 paying customers with an ARR of EUR 36,000 and expect to have 400 customers by the end of 2024 with an ARR of EUR 360,000.
• Team: Mads (CEO), Philip (CTO) and Albert (CCO), who has accomplished very much with very little due to their strong combined skills and deep industry expertise. Mads and Albert have worked together on some of the largest insurance transactions in the Nordics, which have given them deep insights into the insurance industry. Philip is a very experienced developer, who has been a CTO at a successful start-up building a similar platform using large datasets to provide recommendations in the hedge fund industry.

Mads Gjerrild is the CEO and co-founder of Leaf. He is also an investor and board member in a fast-scaling restaurant chain.

He has previously worked as a lawyer at a top-tier law firm working with financial regualtio and M&A.

He has successfully helped scale two companies to over 100 employees.
